- Initially joined as a Police Constable within the Operations Division before, in August 2020, becoming a Detective in the Economic Crime Unit (ECU) within the Crime and Protective Services Division.
- Currently have the opportunity to carry out duties as an acting Sergeant within the ECU when required, involving leading a team of experienced detectives in investigating financial crimes, and conducting operations to arrest suspects and secure evidence.
- Gathered material and intelligence from a range of sources. Recorded and retained evidence in a format that is evidentially admissible to support the investigative process.
- Conducted complex investigations into suspicious financial transactions to detect fraud and money laundering activities, and built cases to support the prosecution of offenders.
- Analysed large volumes of data from various sources to identify evidence of money laundering and/or fraud offences.
- Reviewed banking records and other financial documents for evidence of criminal activity.
- Prepared detailed reports and witness statements outlining findings from investigations for use in legal proceedings.
