Summary

I have 17 years of teaching experience across the UK and international educational settings. I am a dedicated UK-trained teacher with extensive experience supporting diverse learners across a range of age groups and curricula. My varied teaching background has strengthened my adaptability, inclusive practice, and ability to implement effective teaching strategies that meet individual learning needs.

In my previous role as a KS1 and KS2 Resource Base Teacher, I supported pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), delivering tailored interventions and fostering meaningful engagement through inclusive and multi-sensory approaches. As an Early Years Specialist, I have a strong understanding of child development and effective strategies to support communication, literacy, numeracy, and social development.

I am experienced in curriculum planning, assessment, monitoring progress, and providing constructive feedback to support learner development. My expertise in speech and language support, including the use of Makaton and multi-sensory teaching techniques, enables me to communicate effectively with learners from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Throughout my career, I have worked collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create positive learning environments and ensure high standards of education and care. I am confident using educational technology and digital resources to support teaching, organisation, and communication.

Committed to continuous professional development, I have recently completed a CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism, and I am currently undertaking the NPQSENCO. I am passionate about inclusive and Early Years education and dedicated to helping learners achieve their full potential through supportive, learner-centred teaching practices.
